Complete Idiot’s Guide to Total Nutrition by Joy Bauer M.S., R.D., C.D.N.
This book got soaked when roof leaked that day.. :P. Covers got detached but I am lucky that the pages didn’t stick together like my other books.
My reference at home to complement the consultation with the dietitian. Pretty in depth explaining the ropes of understanding what is nutrition. From basic what is what and which is which like what is carbohydrates? What is protein? Which food belongs to which group.
How to decode labels. What is Calories? How to eat, what to eat, how much to eat… etc.. etc..
The author really does cover most aspect of what we might go through like pregnancy and parenting, food allergies, weight loss or gain..
I do recommend a read even if you are not struggling with weight issues because if you are in charge of nutrition at home this is a one stop reference you want to keep in your library.
